Abstract:
The reasons for opposing philosophy in the Islamic society are discussed by the participants in this round table. Although some opponent of philosophy might have good intentions in their opposition, the bad intention of some others cannot be ignored. The opposition to philosophy needs to be explained as a social phenomenon. Defending Islamic creeds has been the main reason for such opposition, due to misrepresentation of philosophical debates, shallowness of the audience of philosophical debates, differences among various schools of philosophy, contradiction between some philosophical concepts and the appearance of religious scripts and beliefs, mistranslation and improper importation of some philosophical concepts from one culture into another.

Abstract:
این گفت وگو به مجموعه علل و عوامل مخالفت با فلسفه در جهان اسلام می پردازد. هرچند می توان انگیزهی بسیاری از مخالفت ها با فلسفه را حسن نیّت برخی افراد دانست، اما نباید از سوء نیّت برخی مخالفان و دشمنان چشم پوشی کرد. مجموعهی مخالفت ها با فلسفه به عنوان یک پدیدهی اجتماعی، نیازمند تبیین است. در مجموع، دلیل و انگیزهی مخالفت با فلسفه در عالم اسلام، دفاع از اسلام و حفظ کیان آن بوده است. امّا این دلیل برخاسته از مجموعه عللی بوده که عدم تبیین درست مباحث فلسفی، سطحی نگری مخاطبان فلسفه، اختلاف بین مکاتب فلسفی، مغایرت برخی مطالب فلسفی با ظواهر آیات و روایات و یا باورها و ارزش های اسلامی، ترجمهی ناصحیح و یا عدم تبیین درست مباحث فلسفی و انتقال نادرست مباحث فلسفی به سایر فرهنگ ها از جمله عواملی هستند که دست به دست هم داده و مجموعهی مخالفت ها با فلسفه را به وجود آورده اند.
