These examples are generally called 'mutual circle'. If such examples are instances of vicious circle and at the same time realizable, is vicious circle not possible? If so, many discussions in philosophy and theology which are based on the impossibility of vicious circle, would all be nullified. The authors have investigated three definitions for vicious circle (need, dependency, and causality) and distinguished them from one another. They conclude that the first two definitions (need and dependency) are flawed, and 'causality' is the correct definition for vicious circle as an impossible phenomenon. <p>هرگاه بحث محال بودن دور پیش مى آید، مثال هایى مانند دو خشت متکى به هم مطرح مى شوند که در نظر گوینده با اینکه دور هستند، ولى نه تنها محال نیستند، محقق نیز مى باشند. این دسته از مثال ها را به صورت عام دور معى نامیده اند. اگر این مثال ها دورند و محقق نیز هستند، پس آیا دور ممکن نیست؟! اگر چنین باشد، بسیارى از مباحثى که بر محال بودن دور در کلام و فلسفه مبتنى شده اند، همه فرو خواهند ریخت. ما در این مقاله با بررسى سه دسته تعریف از دور (احتیاج، توقف و علیت) و تمایز نهادن میان آنها اشکال دور معى را نسبت به دو دسته تعریف اولْ وارد، و تعریف صحیح دور را با توجه به ملاک محال بودن دور، تعریف به علیت دانسته ایم.</p> https://marefatfalsafi.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefatfalsafi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/5_OP_12.PDF
