abstract = {The problem of the causal necessity is one of the important and fundamental problems of the Islamic philosophy, and it plays a central role in subjects such as determinism/free will, and temporal origination/temporal eternity. This article, after reviewing different kinds of causal necessity, explains the most important arguments suggested by the advocates of causal necessity. Scrutinizing the arguments, it concludes that they cannot prove their desired result. It argues that most of the arguments for causal necessity suffer from the fallacy of begging the question (the fallacy of petitio principia), and they unconsciously presuppose causal necessity before any argument. At the end, an argument against causal necessity is suggested; an argument that has not been employed so far by the deniers.

abstract_fa ={مسئله ضرورت علّى از مسائل مهم و بنیادین فلسفه اسلامى است که در مباحثى همچون جبر و اختیار و حدوث و قدم زمانى عالم نقش اساسى دارد. در این مقاله پس از بیان اقسام ضرورت علّى، مهم ترین ادله موافقان تبیین شده است. پس از بررسى این ادله، این نتیجه به دست آمده که همه آنها از اثبات مطلوب خود ناتوان اند. بیشتر ادله ضرورت علّى مبتلا به مغالطه مصادره به مطلوب اند و در آنها شخص استدلال کننده پیش از اقامه استدلال، به صورت ناخودآگاه ضرورت علّى را مفروض پنداشته است. در پایان دلیلى که به خوبى مى تواند ضرورت علّى را انکار کند و تاکنون توسط منکران به کار گرفته نشده، تبیین شده است.
