abstract = {The present article is a description of a contrast between the views of two famous figures in the sphere of theology and atheism. One of these two, i.e. Richard Dawkins, attempts, in his book entitled The God Delusion, to use all his expertise in evolutionary biology in arguing for atheism. Conversely, Alister McGrath attempts, by writing his book entitled Dawkin’s Delusion, to fairly review that book and show the readers that empirical sciences, and specially the theory of evolution, are not inconsistent with theism. It is worth mentioning that both of these figures have worked in Oxford and both have experienced atheism. The difference between them is that the former is stilling insisting on his atheism as the most famous atheist in the world, while the latter, in spite of his expertise in empirical sciences, has given up atheism to become a vigorous defender of theism.

abstract_fa ={نوشتار پیش رو، شرح تقابل اندیشه دو شخصیت معروف در دو حوزه الهیات و الحاد است. یکى از این دو، ریچارد داوکینز، مى کوشد در کتاب «پندار خدا» از همه تخصص خود در حوزه زیست شناسى فرگشتى یارى بجوید و به بى خدایى و الحاد برسد و در نقطه مقابل، آلیستر مک گراث، با تصنیف کتاب «پندار داوکینز» تلاش دارد به نقدى منصفانه از این کتاب بپردازد و به مخاطبان نشان دهد که علوم تجربى و به طور خاص، نظریه فرگشت با خداباورى در تنافى نیستند. نکته درخور توجه اینکه هر دو نفر در فضاى دانشگاه آکسفورد تنفس کرده و هر دو تجربه الحاد را از سر گذرانده اند؛ با این تفاوت که اولى هنوز با پافشارى بر الحاد خود، مشهورترین و پرارجاع ترین ملحد جهان شده، ولى دومى با وجود تخصص در علوم تجربى، از الحاد دست شسته و به مدافعى سرسخت براى خداباورى بدل گشته است.
