Although this version of materialism has little adherents due to the dogmatism governing it, materialist presuppositions are still strongly present in epistemology. The present article uses a critical perspective to investigate the implications of these presuppositions in relation to two parameters of awareness and free will. In this way, we will discuss the physicism, bahaviorism, computer model of mind, and naturalized epistemology as materialistic approaches present in contemporary epistemology, and finally we will review the common implication of these approaches, that is determinism and the possibility to predict individual and collective behaviors of human beings. The method of discussion is analytical, and the findings of this study stress the inefficiency of materialistic approaches in the realm of humanities. <p>ماتریالیسم نوعى انحصارگرایى در حوزه وجود است که در دوران مدرن نخست در چارچوب فلسفه‏ هاى مکانیکى و با تکیه بر اتمیسم طرح شد. با اینکه این بیان از ماتریالیسم به دلیل جزم‏اندیشى حاکم بر آن اکنون طرفدار چندانى ندارد، هنوز پیش ‏فرض ‏هاى ماتریالیستى در معرفت‏ شناسى حضورى پررنگ دارند. این نوشتار با نگاهى انتقادى به بررسى لوازم این پیش‏فرض‏ها در ارتباط با دو مؤلفه آگاهى و اختیار مى‏پردازد. در این مسیر از فیزیک‏گرایى، رفتارگرایى، الگوى کامپیوترى ذهن و معرفت‏شناسى طبیعى‏شده به ‏منزله رویکردهایى ماتریالیستى که در معرفت‏شناسى معاصر حضور دارند بحث خواهد شد و در نهایت لازمه مشترک این رویکردها مبنى بر تعین‏گرایى و امکان پیش‏بینى رفتارهاى فردى و جمعى انسان‏ها مورد نقد قرار خواهد گرفت. روش بحث، تحلیلى است و نتیجه این پژوهش بر ناکارآمدى رویکردهاى ماتریالیستى در حوزه علوم انسانى تأکید دارد.</p> https://marefatfalsafi.nashriyat.ir/sites/marefatfalsafi.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/3_OP_8.PDF
