abstract = {At the outset, the present article defines humanism and clarifies the reason behind and the wide variety of definitions in this field. It continues to explain the history of modern humanism, referring to three phases of humanism, i.e. renaissance, the enlightenment, and modern humanism, and their features. It also deals with different types of humanism, i.e. religious humanism and secular humanism. Explaining the principles of humanism such as naturalism, considering human as the source of values, freedom of the human being, rationalism, and tolerance, the article continues to present certain criticisms raised against humanism.},

abstract_fa ={در این مقاله نخست به تعریف اومانیسم پرداخته و علت پراکندگى و تنوع در تعریف اومانیسم را روشن ساخته ایم. در ادامه و در توضیح تاریخچه اومانیسم جدید به سه دوره اومانیسم رنسانس، اومانیسم روشنگرى و اومانیسم مدرن اشاره و ویژگى هاى هریک را بیان کرده ایم. انواع اومانیسم یعنى اومانسیم دینى و اومانیسم سکولار از دیگر مباحثى است که به آن پرداخته ایم و در ادامه اصول اومانیسم همچون طبیعت گرایى، منبع ارزش بودن انسان ها، آزادى انسان، خردگرایى و مدارا را تبیین، و سرانجام بعضى از نقدهاى وارد بر اومانیسم را مطرح ساخته ایم.
