abstract = {The literal meaning of “gradation”, the reason for its denomination, and its technical meaning in logic and philosophy are the requirements for a discussion on this concept. This article deals, in its first part, with the issue of the beginning of such an idea in philosophy, and its relation to the field of logic. Since each one of the three major schools of Islamic philosophy had their share in the development and evolution of this term, the author then turns to a discussion of their unique impact on the progress and the maturity of this subject. Critically analyzing each theory, the author tries to come up with an acceptable idea, and brings forward his reasons to support his choice.},

abstract_fa ={مفهوم لغوى «تشکیک»، وجه تسمیه آن و معنایش در منطق و فلسفه از جمله مسائلى هستند که براى پى گیرى موضوع تشکیک نیازمند بررسى مى باشند. این موضوع، که بحث تشکیک از کجا شروع شده و چگونه وارد فلسفه گردیده و به عبارت دیگر، نسبت این بحث در دو حوزه منطق و فلسفه چیست، از موضوعاتى است که این مقاله بدان پرداخته است. نقش هر یک از مکاتب سه گانه فلسفه اسلامى در پیشبرد این بحث و اقوال اختصاصى آنها تحولات متعددى در مبحث تشکیک به وجود آورده و موجب غناى آن گردیده است، از این رو، بررسى این تحولات زمینه ساز فهم بهتر مسئله تشکیک است. نکات فوق و بررسى اقوال و قول مورد قبول مطرح و ادلّه مؤیّد آن از جمله موضوعاتى است که این مقاله سعى مى کند آنها را بررسى کند.
